melting of himalyas

Global warming is a familiar topic to all the people of the world. Everyone knows the condition of earth at present. The melting ice on the poles of earth has lead to the rise of sea level thoroughly and continuously. This is the famous topic but there are many other problems caused as a result of global warming. One of the major problems in Asia is “the melting Himalayas”. This has caused a serious effect to the developing countries like Nepal.
Nepal is the owner of major territory of the Himalayas. The beautiful snowy mountains such as Everest, Kanchenjunga and many more are at the state of conversion to the bare and rocky mountains. The beauty of these mountains is decreasing day by day due to the fast melting of snow caused by the rise in temperature. If the Himalayas convert to deserts then very few people may get interested to visit such place. This cause a severe economic retardation to country like Nepal, whose economy has great importance of tourism. Himalayas are linked with the glaciers and the snow lakes. The glaciers are melting to rivers and many snow lakes are at the state of bursting. If a snow lakes bursts then the surrounding residential areas will suffer the most. The flooding of whole village may occur and it may result to landslides and other economic and social problems.
All these problems are the result of global warming. Himalayas also should be considered globally as a sufferer of climate change and global warming. The developed countries are the main producer of heating gases. The production of CFC, CO2, CO etc should be minimized as far as possible and alternatives sources of energies should be developed that help to decrease the production of warming gases. Programs should be conducted at local to international level for conservation of the coldness of earth. This helps in protecting the beauty of earth and the top of the world-"The Himalayas"
